About Me

I’m Kelly, owner of Nose Over Tail. I am an avid animal lover based in Dunfermline, Fife. Having worked in the Customer Service industry for 14 years, I am committed to providing all my clients with reliability and the highest level of service.

I pride myself on running my business in a way that both human and canine clients are given the best of care and consideration. My main goal is to make people’s every day lives easier by ensuring their pets are expertly cared for, well exercised, enriched and returned home happy!

Services & Pricing

I walk Monday to Friday, rain or shine. If you have an enquiry about any services outside of the hours of 9am to 5pm, or need help at the weekends, feel free to send a request and I will do my best to accommodate (weekends & bank holidays subject to an additional £5 fee per service)

Please be advised that I work on a Time Slot basis only and cannot guarantee exact times per client. This is due to factors which are circumstantial and may be out of my control such as traffic, clean down and care time for each individual animal etc. If you have any days in which you do need a very specific time slot for walks or care, feel free to ask and if I can, I will!

My typical Daily Slots are :

  • Morning - 9am-12pm

  • Afternoon - 12pm-3pm

  • Late Afternoon/Evening - 3pm-5pm

Group Walk - 1 hour / £12

A safe and fun experience for your beloved pet, giving them access to play in the outdoors with other fluffy friends (full 1 hour walk time, pick up and drop off time separate) All dogs will be grouped after an initial solo walk to determine the best group suited to them. Group walks consist of max 4 dogs per walk

Solo Walk - 1 hour / £15

When your dog needs some more focused one to one walk time. Solo walks are perfect for dogs who aren’t quite right for groups, whether this is due to reactivity, age or simply for their own preference and happiness

Home & Puppy Visits - 30 mins / £10 or 1 hour/£15

Need someone to pop into your home and check on your dog, puppy, cat or other pets whilst at work or on holiday? Whether this is for a quick run around your garden, to feed them, play, clean up or just give them some cuddles and attention, I’ve got it covered. This is a great option for puppies who are too young to go out proper walks yet but still need care and attention throughout the day

House & Pet Sitting

I have completed a number of successful pet-sits for my clients when they are away for work, on holiday or visiting family. Many people are anxious or uncertain about using kennels or catteries, so this is a great alternative and means your pets can stay in the safety of their own home whilst I care for them like they are my own pets!

There is an option for both overnight sits or simply popping in throughout the day as arranged. I have taken care of a range of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, & fish. I can also administer medication, change litter trays, water plants and generally keep your home safe, clean & secure in your absence.

Details for Home/Pet sits are as follows:

  • Overnight-Sitting for up to two pets : (includes 2 daily walks for dogs, general cat and small animal care including feeding and medications)

  • Pop-In House Sitting for up to 2 pets : (includes 2 daily dog walks, general cat and small animal care including feeding and medications) with up to a total of 3 visits during a 24hr period

    (Please note any more than 2 pets present for a sit are an additional £5 per day. Watering plants, cleaning pet areas etc at no extra charge)

Health & Safety

Basic Requirements

Please note that the requirements for a group walk include a recall if your dog can be walked off-lead. If they have little to no recall for any reason and will remain on lead during walks, please let me know

Weather

The safety and well-being of your pets is always my top priority, therefore in cases of extreme sun or heat, I may have to reschedule or cut walks short where necessary to avoid the risk of sun stroke. Instead I will be happy to let them outside in your garden where areas of shade are provided, and I can ensure they are safe and hydrated

First Aid

I am trained in Canine Emergency First Aid and CPR, and always carry an emergency first aid kit with me during walks. All new clients will need to give permission for me to administer first aid where necessary in your new starter form upon your first booking

Please fill out the form below to enquire about booking one of our services. Once I have received this, I will contact you to arrange a complimentary Meet & Greet to meet yourself and your dog. We will also discuss your dogs personal needs, preferences and requirements.

In the message box, please include your dogs name, age, gender and breed, specifying which days you would like me to walk them. If you are enquiring about home visits for cats or other pets, please leave their name, age and your home visit requirements.
